For the first time Tuesday, members of USW local 1223 heard the details of a proposed contract that's been months in the making.
Their vote will decide whether the Ohio Cold Rolling Plant will start up next year.
Jerry Connors, President of Union Local 1223, said this will be a life changing decision for Steelworkers.
"It's up to the members to decide. hopefully things will move forward, but right now its in their hands," Connors added.
When some of the members got details about the tentative pact they said they were less than happy with the agreement, others remained more optimistic.
"It will get us all back to work. The economy in the valley isn't good right now, so whatever we have to do to get back to work," said steelworker Mike Bianconi.
Members will be voting on the contract Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Local 1223.
