Kevin James Thompson, 23, of Wheeling, has been sentenced to 22 months and 1 day in prison after his conviction for possession with intent to distribute heroin for an incident which occurred in March of this year in Wheeling.
Thompson was also convicted of violating conditions of his supervised release from a 2008 conviction for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. The prison terms are to run consecutively.
Thompson was also ordered to forfeit $1,068, the amount seized from him at the time of his arrest in March on the heroin charge. He was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshals pending designation to a federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by U.S. Attorney Ihlenfeld and investigated by the Wheeling Police Department.
