One family has lost everything after a house fire in Weirton.

Fire crews responded to the fire Thursday morning around 6:30 on Pleasant View Drive.

Captain Bob Hinchee said they believe the cause of the fire is due to an old gas furnace in an addition of the house.

The family lost almost everything. The owner of the house said he and his wife are okay but two of their cats died in the fire.
