Joseph A. McDonald, 26, of Glen Dale, was arrested Thursday after being indicted by a federal grand jury earlier this week on multiple charges relating to the distribution of Oxycondone.
A federal search warrant was executed at McDonald's home today by officers of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, the Glen Dale Police Department, DEA agents and U.S. Marshals. Drug activity was reportedly found at the residence.
McDonald appeared in court Thursday for an initial appearance and was remanded pending a detention hearing set for Dec. 11. If convicted, McDonald faces up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million dollar fine on seven counts of distribution near a school, and faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine on a final distribution count.
