With the recent purchase of the Wheeling Corrugating plant by the Business Development Corporation, inquiries have been coming in left and right.
BDC Executive Director, Patrick Ford, told 7 News that activity is really heating up. The same European prospect interested in the old TS&T factory is also interested in the Beech Bottom plant.
Ford says he also received an inquiry from a Pennsylvania prospect. According to ford, this is a prime location.
"It's more illustrated by the fact that we actually have inventory and property now at BDC that we can recruit businesses and industries into our area to take a look at these because it is a viable place to open up a business and it is a viable place to do business," he said.
The Business Development Corp. purchased the plant from RG Steel in bankruptcy court just last week. BDC's goal is to spark the interest of businesses who may want to relocate to Brooke County.
