Two people were arrested in Harrison County on drug trafficking charges Friday.
According to Harrison County Sheriff Joe Myers, Mark Allan Gillman, age 33, and Tiffany L. Champion, age 29, were arrested on felony drug trafficking charged after a six month undercover investigation. In the undercover operation, marijuana was purchased from the subjects at 201 Schoolhouse Street residence in The Village of Scio.
Gillham is facing two felonies of trafficking in marijuana for his involvement in these sales, one being within a 1,000 feet of a school. Champion is facing one felony, three counts of trafficking in marijuana for her involvement within 1,000 feet of a school.
Both individuals were taken into custody without incident in Scio Friday night by agents and officers.
There was a child under the age of 22 months in the residence at the time of the arrest. According to authorities the child was removed by the Sheriff and placed in the custody of Job and Family Services who then placed the child with the child's grandparents.
The investigation was a combined effort of The Multi County L.E.A.D. Task Force as well as The Harrison County Sheriff's Office and The Jewett and Cadiz Police Departments.
