
WTRF.com is learning new details about an armed robbery in Jefferson County. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, a white male carrying a dark green hand gun went into the Special Way on Route 213 around 7:30 Friday night.
Police say he held the gun to the back of a female cashier and forced her to hand him the money in the register. According to a witness, the suspect ran out of the store, jumped into the passenger window of a red or maroon van with Ohio plates.
Police say the suspect is about 5' 8" tall, weighs about 200 lbs and was wearing a camouflage jacket with a camouflage and black hood over his face.
Its unknown how much money he got away with, and police continue to search surveillance video for more evidence.
