Stilwell will give 80 percent of the royalties of her debut novel, "The Source
(A Mountain State Vampire Novel)" to the family of Megan Beckett Foltz, a local
8-year-old girl battling AML leukemia for the second time.
Stilwell received her bachelor's degree from Marshall in
2000 and relocated with her family to the Seattle area in 2011.
The day her debut novel went live on Amazon.com in August,
tests showed that her 8-year-old niece Megan's leukemia had returned.
"The Source" is a paranormal romance set in West Virginia.
The story focuses on the heroine, who is a human scientist working on a project
for the Federal Office for Human and Vampire Administration, a U.S. government
office created to deal with paranormal crime that the regular correctional
system just can't handle.
During the month of December, the digital version of "The
Source" is only $0.99 and is available for the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes &
Noble Nook and in various formats on Smashwords.
Megan is currently at the Ronald McDonald House in
Cincinnati and recovering from a bone marrow transplant.
