One Jefferson County town continues to struggle in a difficult economy.

City leaders in Mingo Junction are crunching numbers to make ends meet. Officials wrapped up a meeting with Mingo Junction Safety Forces and the Communication Workers of America Union members in advance of any potential layoffs.

City Council asked employees to come up with any proposals or concessions that might save employees from being laid off. Layoffs could come as soon as December 29.
