
The Wheeling Nailers equaled a season-high with seven goals in a 7-5 victory over the Evansville Icemen on Sunday afternoon at WesBanco Arena.
Wheeling's Philippe Lefebvre had two goals (6) and an assist, and Scott Zurevinski added a pair of goals (6) for the Nailers, who won both games over the weekend.
Luke Pither, who scored the game-winning goal in overtime on Saturday, contributed a goal (7) and an assist, on Sunday.
The Nailers carried a 7-2 lead into the third period, but held off a furious Icemen rally.
Goaltender Peter Delmas, who just return to the Nailers, stopped 22 of 27 shots, for the win.
