
The Morgantown Mohigans boys' basketball team made a statement on Thursday night in Wheeling, by blowing out Wheeling Park 96-68, at the Palace on the Hill.
Nathan Adrien, a 6-9 West Virginia University recruit, led all scorers with 22 points.
Wheeling Park was led by sophomore Ryan Reinbeau with 16 points. The Patriots dip to 2-3 on the season. The Mohigans are now 5-1.
In Ohio, Steubenville came to Martins Ferry and handed the Purple Riders a 77-53 loss. Malik Young paced the Big Red with 20 points, Cody Schau also scored 20 points for Martins Ferry.
In New Martinsville, Mark Winters scored 36 points in a 95-50 win against Tyler Consolidated. Dylan Romine led the Silver Knights with 20 points.
