The West Virginia
Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development is kicking off the
new year with a lunchtime workshop, "How
to Use Improv to Build Critical Skills."
Workplace learning professionals and
leaders need to be agile to thrive in today's environment of ambiguity and
change.
The skills necessary for success as a
trainer, consultant or coach are also those necessary for success in theatrical
improvisation. This workshop will teach participants how improvisational techniques
can help improve training skills.
All workplace training and development
professionals are welcome to attend this event, which will include lunch and
networking.
The workshop, presented by Hannah R.
Toney, Ed.D., will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 8 at
the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection's Dolly Sods Room in
Kanawha City.
The cost is $15.00 for members and
$20.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is requested by visiting www.astdwv.wildapricot.org.
