The West Virginia Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development is kicking off the new year with a lunchtime workshop, "How to Use Improv to Build Critical Skills."

Workplace learning professionals and leaders need to be agile to thrive in today's environment of ambiguity and change.

The skills necessary for success as a trainer, consultant or coach are also those necessary for success in theatrical improvisation. This workshop will teach participants how improvisational techniques can help improve training skills.

All workplace training and development professionals are welcome to attend this event, which will include lunch and networking.

The workshop, presented by Hannah R. Toney, Ed.D., will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 8 at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection's Dolly Sods Room in Kanawha City.

The cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is requested by visiting www.astdwv.wildapricot.org.

ASTD is an international professional association dedicated to the training and development field.
