Red Cross Needs Blood Donations - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

The Red Cross is planning their 27th Annual Ohio Valley media blood drive event for Monday, January 21.

It will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at WesBanco Arena.

At a press conference this morning, communications manager Cheryl Gergely said blood donations often decline at the the beginning of the year, while the need continues.

This year's goal is 400 successful blood donations. Donors will enjoy a free t-shirt, refreshments, free parking and daycare.

Gergely says all blood types are needed but there are a certain few they are in special need of.
