Bellaire Police have conducted an underage sweep of local businesses and what they found could cost several establishments their liquor licenses.
Police sent two 18-year-olds into six area establishments. Two of those places refused to sell the teens alcohol.
Police say three carryouts and one bar sold alcohol to the underage teens. Police Chief Mike Kovalyck identified the establishments as Rich Oil, Circle K in Bellaire, BP and Denny's Blue Angel.
Kovalyck said the person that sold the teens alcohol will have to appear in court.
The report was sent to Liquor Control to determine what action should be taken. The businesses could lose their permits to sell alcohol.
