CHARLESTON, WV – Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group take the Clay Center stage at 8 p.m. May 10.
The West Virginia Dance Company will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Metropolitan
Theatre in Morgantown.
Since 1977, the WVDC has toured throughout West Virginia, as
well as 14 other states. It is the state's only professional touring dance
company.
Among other concert works, the dance company will perform "The
Bottomland" by choreographer Doug Varone. The piece celebrates Appalachian
heritage and is set to the music of Patty Loveless. It tells a story of
loneliness, isolation, comfort and community.
The performance is open to the public. Tickets are available via
Ticketmaster or by calling 304-293-SHOW. Seating is general admission and tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for
seniors, $10 for students, and $8 for children.
