EATON, Ohio (AP) - State troopers say a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of a stash of heroin worth an estimated $370,000 in southwestern Ohio.
The State Highway Patrol said Wednesday that troopers pulled a car over for an unsafe lane change Tuesday on Interstate 70 near Eaton. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Juan Carlos Arcos of Columbus, didn't have a license, and authorities say there were other signs of criminal activity.
When they searched the car, troopers found about 5½ pounds of heroin hidden in a false bottom of a piece of luggage.
Arcos was arrested on charges of possession of heroin and criminal tools. He was being held at the Preble County jail.
It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
