West Virginia Senate President Jeff Kessler plans to hold a forum on child care needs in the Mountain State.
Friday's meeting at the Glen Dale United Methodist Child Development Center will allow community leaders to hear from families and staff on the impact of proposed changes to a subsidy program that helps working parents afford day care.
In December, Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said he would delay changes that could have ended the subsidies for an estimated 1,425 children.
A family of four would have lost aid, for example, if its annual income exceeded about $33,500.
WTRF will have complete coverage of this forum on Friday.
