Update: Power in Restored Belmont, Monroe Counties - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

UPDATE:

Power has been restored to the areas affected by the outage.

ORIGINAL STORY:

South Central Power has just over 1700 customers without power in Monroe and Belmont Counties. 

According to South Central, they have lost the feed from American Electric Power's feed to their Somerton Substation. 

South Central and AEP have crews en route to work around the situation. AEP spokesperson Carmen Prati-Miller tells 7news that there is a circuit out that serves South Central Power. 

We are working to find when service will be restored.
