A Belmont County man led sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase early Monday morning.
According to Belmont County Sheriff Dave Lucas, his deputies were responding to a domestic disturbance on Barton Road when Deputy Stauffer passed a car leaving the residence.
The deputy attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the suspect, 55-year-old Delbert Wines, refused to stop and was driving erratically.
That's when Sheriff Lucas says Sergeant Devaul got involved, positioning his cruiser in front of Wine's car. Wines then reportedly swerved and struck the right side of Devaul's cruiser.
Wines was then tazed and taken into custody.
He is facing charges of failure to comply, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, felonious assault, driving under the influence, disorderly conduct and domestic violence.
He is being held with no bond.
