
Authorities said a Wheeling man may be headed back to federal prison after admitting to illegal possession of a firearm.
U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld ,II said Cordale Williams, 32, entered a guilty plea in federal court to the charge of ''Felon in Possession of a Firearm" resulting from a shooting incident that occurred last summer.
Authorities said due to his prior conviction for ''Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine within 1000 feet of a school." Williams was not permitted to possess a firearm.
The defendant is alleged to have fired a shot after a fight outside of the 7-11 store in Wheeling on June 22 , 2012.
