Yeager Airport will celebrate the grand opening of Kanawha Café – a new spot for passengers to purchase specialty coffees, beer and wine along with hot and cold snacks or full meals.

The café is located in the passenger boarding area of the main terminal building at Yeager, and it will officially be opened at 11 a.m. Jan. 23 just before the airport's regularly scheduled noon board meeting.

"The café provides passengers who have already cleared security with beverage and light meal options that have previously been unavailable in the secure area of the terminal," Yeager Airport Executive Director Rick Atkinson said in a news release.

The café will be operated by Better Foods. Yeager's director of marketing and air service development, Brian Belcher, said the addition of the café will create a better traveling experience for both arriving and departing passengers.
