The Ohio State Fire Marshal was called in early Wednesday morning to investigate a fire in Martins Ferry.
The home is being considered a total loss.
Several of the pets owned by the family who lived in the home have perished.

Fire Crews in Martins Ferry battled flames in single digits temperatures while trying to get a house fire under control on Vineway Street Tuesday night.
The call came in around 9:45 pm.
Firefighters had string together multiple hoses in order to reach the house with enough water to extinguish the flames.
