In the last few days many local counties have delayed schools, and many of WTRF's viewers have had some questions about how that decision is made.
The decision to close or delay schools is strictly up to the county, more specifically, the superintendent. However, these superintendents don't work alone.
They work with local authorities and the Division of Highways to make the decision if it is safe for kids to come to school.
Also, if your child is on a two hour delay, you are not supposed to drop them off early.
