The Cincinnati Cyclones defeated the Wheeling Nailers 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at WesBanco Arena, preventing the Nailers from a three-game weekend sweep.
The Nailers defeated the Bakersfield Condors and Trenton Devils 3-2 on Friday and Saturday nights respectively.
Michael Pelech scored his ninth goal of the season in the first period, as the Cyclones led it 1-0 after one period.
Dan Eves made it 2-0 Cincinnati after two periods, with his sixth goal of the season.
Wheeling's Chris Barton tallied his 11th goal of the season, to cut the deficit in half, in the third period, but Matt Smyth (1) and captain Mathieu Aubin (11) made it 4-1 Cyclones. Zack Torquato scored his second of the season, a power play goal, with 2:19 left in the third period to complete the scoring.
