Back in 2009, the Capitol Theatre was in danger of closing it's doors for good.
The City of Wheeling along with several local organizations stepped in to purchase the historic building.
Now, the investment is paying off in a big way.
The Capitol has been the place to be over the last few weeks. Thousands of people from all over the Ohio Valley, as well as a great number of people from the Pittsburgh and Cleveland areas have flocked to the theater to enjoy a variety of shows.
In fact, the Capitol has had four sell-out shows since mid-December. Manager Denny Magruder says there is a lot more to come in the very near future.
