A Bellaire man was arrested on a total of twelve warrants on Monday.
Richard Calvin Matthews, age 41, of 4755 Noble Street, was arrested by Bellaire Police after a local business became suspicious when Matthews reportedly pawned 19 different expensive power tools in less than a ten-day period.
Matthews was taken into custody after it was discovered he had five warrants from Northern and Western County Courts. An additional five warrants were issued Tuesday from Belmont County Eastern Court.
Bellaire Police say Matthews has been arrested at least three times by in the last year. He was transported to Belmont County Jail for lock-up.
Several of the warrants had a "no bond" notation.
Bellaire Police Chief Kovalyk said the increasing number of suspects arrested with multiple warrants increases the workload for local police departments and the county court system.
