Hundreds lined up
Thursday afternoon hoping for a spot on "Contestant's Row" as a live
stage version of the popular game show The
Price is Right comes to the Capitol Theatre in downtown Wheeling. They hoped to demonstrate to the show
producers enough enthusiasm for that coveted spot and a chance to win some
prizes.
The show's host, Jerry Springer, says this live show's a better time.
"It's the kind of show, where obviously it's iconic; the show has been on for what? 45 years? So, everybody kind of knows the show," Springer said. "It's a fun game, but it's also an opportunity just to talk to the contestants, to talk with the people. Have fun with them. And that's what I like best about it."
Springer says "The Price is Right - Live" will make a run through a number of other cities before it arrives for a stint in Las Vegas.
