Update: Marshall County Outdoor Smoking Ban Approved

UPDATE:

The Marshall County Health Department's Board of Directors have voted unanimously in favor of the proposed Outdoor Clean Air Act.

The act bans smoking at specific outdoor areas like ticket lines, parks, stadiums, and festivals.

The ban also applies to outdoor grounds of medical facilities like hospitals, clinic and doctors' offices.

The Marshall County Board of Health will vote Friday on the controversial clean air regulation proposal.

If passed, the proposal would ban smoking at specific outdoor areas like ticket lines, parks, stadiums, and festivals.

The ban would also apply to outdoor grounds of medical facilities like hospitals, clinic and doctors' offices.

The Board will address the issue at their meeting. The proposal could be approved, rejected, or tabled for further study.
