Fire Destroys Benwood Home; Cause Under Investigation - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

One home was completely destroyed following a fire Saturday night in Benwood.

According to Sherrard Fire Chief Toby Lemmon, the fire started about 11 p.m. at a home on Fishers Lane. He says  no one was home at the time and there were no injuries.

He said, however, that a family was preparing to move into the home and lost much of their furniture.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The house is considered a total loss.
