Wheeling's Homeless Coalition teamed up with local photographers and volunteers to put on an event called The Help Portrait on Sunday. It's a national event that photographer Rebecca Kiger wanted to bring to Wheeling.
The team took portraits of families that might not normally have the chance to get their pictures taken. Ladies had the chance to get their hair and make-up done before their session, and everyone was able to enjoy lunch and refreshments afterwards.
Rebecca says she is happy to contribute her photography skills, and hopes today's pictures will be treasured.
Photographer Neal Warren of Design and Image Studio in Wheeling also donated his time on Sunday. Homeless Coalition Board Member Wendy Scatterday, and Executive Director Lisa Badia were also instrumental in organizing the Help Portrait.
