One man is dead after being ejected from a car on Thursday evening after an accident involving two vehicles on West Virginia Route 2 in Ohio County.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Pat Butler, the victim, a 44-year-old Brooke County man, rear- ended another vehicle and then lost control of the vehicle as it went into a roll. The vehicle rolled several times and the victim was ejected from his car, according to Butler.
The victim, whose name is not yet being released, was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died of injuries sustained in the accident.
The accident occurred about a half mile north of the Pike Island Locks and Dam, which runs perpendicular to Route 2.
