Potential Threat Closes Rt. 2 in Marshall County - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

UPDATE:

Authorities have opened Route 2 in Marshall County and found there to be no threat to the area.

According to Marshall County EMA Director Tom Hart, some workers at the Dominion Plant were released for the day. Supervisors have since returned to the facility.

As a precautionary measure, the Coast Guard patrolled the river searching for anything suspicious. Hart said the patrol is standard procedure and that they have not found anything.

What authorities are calling a potential threat has closed an area of West Virginia Route 2 in Marshall County.

According to Tom Hart with the Marshall County EMA Route 2 in the Natrium area of southern Marshall County is closed due to a potential emergency at the Dominion Plant.
