UPDATE:
Police have clarified information after an overnight crash near the Bridgeport exit of I-70 sent three people to the hospital.
Audrey Cochran, 23, of Wheeling, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, having no driver's license, having fictitious license plates and failing to maintain an assured clear distance after she allegedly rammed a vehicle in front of her when it slowed down on I-70.
Three of the vehicle's four occupants were taken to the hospital.
Cochran is currently being held in the Belmont County Jail. She will appear in court on Friday morning.
ORIGINAL STORY:
An investigation began Monday morning into an overnight accident that happened in the westbound lane of Interstate 70 in Belmont County.
According to dispatch, two cars were involved in the accident on mile marker 225.
Two people involved fled the scene, but were later caught by police.
Four people were taken to the hospital with injuries. The dispatcher did not know the extent of those injuries.
