Police Investigating After Shots Fired, High Speed Chase

An investigation began Wednesday morning after shots were fired overnight, leading police on a high-speed chase.

According to Belmont County dispatch, shots were fired in the 4300 block of Franklin Street in Bellaire Tuesday night.

Police chased the car into Ohio County, where it crashed into an out-of-state police car at Exit 5 in Elm Grove.

Three people ran from the scene of the crash. One of them was caught.

According to Wheeling Police, Clarence Bertram, 21, was arrested after he ran from them. Bertram is currently being held in the Northern Regional Jail on an outstanding warrant.

Police continue to search for the other two suspects.
