The new edition of In-Wheeling Magazine has hit newsstands. This month's issue highlights the ethnic diversity of Wheeling and includes stories from the eleven nationalities that make up the city.
Inside are recipes, family stories and plenty of beautiful photographs. Publisher David Allinder says his business partner's father actually came up with the idea for the spring 2013 issue.
"So that's what this issue is all about. It's about documenting the ethnic community, the ethnic histories, the ethnic food, the ethnic culture of Wheeling, West Virginia," said Allinder. "You get to experience all of those stories. The English story, the African-American story, the Scotch-Irish story, the Irish story, and so on and so on. But they're there and there's a lot of meat to all these stories."
Allinder says the next issue will deal with the 150th anniversary of the state. It will debut in the summer.
