Wheeling native D.P. Harris, a 1989 Wheeling Park High School graduate and former assistant boys basketball coach, guided his St.Vincent Bearcats (D-III) to the President's Athletic Conference championship.
The Bearcats, who defeated the defending PAC tournament champions Bethany twice this season, knocked off Thomas More 81-67 in the PAC Tournament championship game in Latrobe (Pa.) on Saturday night, claiming the school's first PAC title.
Harris, in his 10th season as head coach, led the Cats to a 23-5 record this season.
They'll find out on Monday, who, where, and when they'll be playing in the Division III National Tournament.
