FIRST on WTRF.com: Body Found Near Wheeling Island Business - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

Wheeling Police and fire units were on the scene late Monday evening after callers reported seeing a lifeless body. 

It happened near the Memorial Bridge between Wheeling Island and Bridgeport. 

According to investigators, a customer told Gumby's employees that someone should "check on that man leaning up against the bridge." After doing so, it was determined the man was dead.

There were no signs of foul play and officers have already identified the man.

At the time of this report, officials were not releasing the man's name until his family can be notified.
