Ohio Issues Record Number of Concealed Carry Permits
The State of Ohio issued more than 76,000 concealed carry licenses in 2012, the highest number since 2004, when licenses where first issued.
According to a press release from the Ohio Attorney General, county sheriffs issued over 64,000 new licenses and over 12000 renewals in 2012. A record was set on new licenses as well.
"As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, I am pleased to see more Ohioans than ever before are exercising their rights under Ohio's concealed carry law," DeWine said. "I look forward to continuing to work with Ohio's county sheriffs to provide information to Ohioans on this law's usage."
