The 16-year-old charged with two counts of murder with gun specifications in Steubenville will be tried as an adult.

The case against Kordel Moncreace has been transferred to the Court of Common Pleas.

The court set bond at $500,000 on each charge of murder.
Moncreace will stay in juvenile detention until his court date.

 


 

ORIGINAL STORY:

The 16-year-old charged with two counts of murder in Steubenville will be in court for his probable cause hearing Wednesday morning.

Authorities say if probable cause is found, he will be tried as an adult.

The shooting happened at Heritage Place Apartments at the end of January.

When police arrived they found two people had been shot. Ryan Toson, 21, and Otavius Wilson, 19, were both killed.
