An accident involving a semi-truck and a water truck has occurred at the intersection of Route 7 and Hanover Street in Martins Ferry.

According to reports, the semi was headed south on Route 7 and rear-ended the water truck, which was sitting at a red light.

The water truck was pushed into the intersection by the force of the crash. Two people were in the water truck; one was injured and transported to the hospital.

The site of the accident is near the intersection in which a 10-year-old girl was severely injured in a crash two weeks ago. Read that story here.
