Dr. Larry Rhodes has been selected the 2013 Rural Health Practitioner of the Year.

WEST LIBERTY, WV -
West Liberty University has selected Brian L. Crawford as provost.
Crawford has served as dean of liberal arts since 2010. He previously was chairman of the department of social and behavioral sciences and had taught geography since 1999.
Before coming to West Liberty, Crawford taught at Ohio University, Indiana State University, the University of Kentucky and Allan Hancock College.
He served 15 years in the military before retiring as an Air Force captain.
Also at the school, WLU administrator Sherri Mason has been promoted to financial reporting manager.
Mason has been with West Liberty almost 25 years, serving as an accountant and then senior accountant. In her new role, she will continue to be responsible for external reporting, act as the lead on the West Virginia OASIS project and supervise the new senior accountant, payroll and accounts payable department.
Her office is located in the newly renovated and historic Shaw Hall.
The Sherrard resident is a graduate of Fairmont State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
