
U.S. NavyA Jefferson County Christian School senior has received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. Meadow Jackson, a senior, received that good news from U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. Brown nominated the Steubenville resident for the Naval Academy.
"Ohio schools are educating the young people who will become the next generation of military leaders. I am proud that Meadow has been offered the opportunity to attend one of our nation's most prestigious institutions," said Brown. "Ms. Jackson's family and the entire Steubenville community should be proud of this dynamic young woman, who embodies the integrity and courage needed to represent and uphold the values of our nation."
Jackson played varsity volleyball, basketball and softball at J.C.C.S. She has maintained a 3.85 G.P.A. Jackson also volunteered at Steubenville's A.I.M. Women's Center.
