Authorities have confirmed a house fire in the North 2600 block of Warwood Avenue
Residents in the area can see flames shooting out from the structure
Crews from the Wheeling Fire Department are at the scene

Investigators may have determined what caused a fire that destroyed a home turned apartment building in Warwood.
Wheeling Fire Chief Larry Helms said they believe the fire started in the basement apartment, where a space heater was placed to close to flammable items.
Police were forced to shut down Route 2 for a short time, as firefighters worked to contain the fire at the structure on 2615 Warwood Avenue.
The fire started around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.
Everyone got out safely including the family's dogs.

Authorities were able to put out the flames at the Warwood home. They say one woman was home at the time, but managed to get out safely. A number of pets were also in the building, they too made it out safely.

Authorities have confirmed a house fire in the North 2600 block of Warwood Avenue. Pedestrians at the scene say they can see flames shooting out of the structure.
The address has been confirmed as 2615 Warwood Avenue.
Police are directing traffic. Part of State Route 2 is closed to traffic at the Brooke and Ohio County line in both directions, according to police.
Authorities say the home was broken up into three apartments. They say all three were being rented.
