Fake Rodeo Star Roped in 500 Cell Phones, Wanted to Meet Men
A western Pennsylvania woman admits she impersonated a rodeo star and set up a sham company to obtain 500 cell phones causing $430,000 dollars in losses to Sprint Communications and $8,000 in custom made saddles.
Authorities say 39-year-old Susan Rowan of Vanderbilt also hoped to meet men by pretending to be world champion barrel racer Sherry Cervi.
Her public defender says she disputes the prosecution's loss totals.
Cervi is a two-time world champion racer from Arizona.
