Road work is set to begin Monday on the Interstate 70 bridge over State Route 9 in St. Clairsville.
Beaver Excavating Company, contracted by the Ohio Department of Transportation, plans to begin clearing and grubbing work around the project area. Work will include rehabilitating the I-70 bridge, lengthening the westbound on-ramp from Route 9, and replacing the bridge that carries the interstate over the National Road Bikeway and Chambers Run.
Two lanes will be maintained on I-70 in each direction. The project is expected to be completed by August of next year.
