Fox News, CNN, and network affiliates from all over are pouring into Steubenville to cover the trial
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -
The national media converged on Steubenville Wednesday for the trial of two juveniles accused of rape. For the next few days, the eyes of the nation will be on the Jefferson County Justice Center. Inside, two teens are standing trial for rape.
"We'll be here as long as we have to be, to cover it," said Tim Rudell of National Public Radio.
News crews from across the country crowded outside of the justice center. Fox News, CNN, and network affiliates from all over are pouring in; all working to give viewers a look inside the trial that's captured the attention of the nation. In the process, thrusting Steubenville, Ohio into the center of a media craze.
"It's not the kind of place, that just by it's nature, you would expect to see a sea of satellite dishes, and satellite trucks from all over Ohio and Pennsylvania and national media and so forth," said Rudell. "The story is an unusual one as well and that's what of course brought everybody here."
