Last year, 1 in 6 people in Ohio went hungry. In Harrison and Jefferson counties, 1 in 5 children do not eat enough food each day to live active, healthy lives.
That statistic is just one reason why community leaders and the Mid-Ohio Foodbank are hosting a series of conversations designed to develop and explore sustainable ways to tackle hunger in our community. The first will be held Thursday morning at the Blessed Sacrament Church on Main Street in Wintersville.
The meeting began at 11:30 Thursday morning. There will be four more meetings after this initial meeting.
