ArtsLink will offer a free presentation of "Through the Eye of the Needle, the Art of Esther Nisenthal Krinitz" at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at the Francis Creative Arts Center, located at the corner of Maple Avenue and Washington Street in New Martinsville. Light refreshments will be served.
Concord
University will host a dinner theatre in honor of Black History
Month titled "The Passing of Pearl," presented by 4Pals Productions.
This event will be at 6 p.m. March 20 in the ballroom on the third floor
of the Jerry and Jean Beasley Student Center.
"The Passing of Pearl" was written by Concord alum Vain Colby and
is directed by Thomas Lester. The play takes place in Memphis during
the 1980s in a diner next to the Lorraine Motel, where Martin Luther
King, Jr. was assassinated. The message of this play deals with secrets,
forgiveness, the Civil Rights Movement and friendships.
A
nonprofit organization, 4Pals Productions produces original works that
are written, directed, staged and acted by area artists.
