MVB Bank announced April 1 that it will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in Sabraton with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4.

Sen. Joe Manchin was scheduled to join the celebration, bank officials said.

The Sabraton branch is the second for MVB Bank in Monongalia County. The bank's Cheat Lake location opened in 2011.

"We are pleased to open our first full-service MVB Bank branch in Morgantown," said MVB Bank Morgantown Market President Herman DeProspero. "This Sabraton location is key to our company's growth strategy in the Morgantown market."

The opening of the Sabraton branch expands MVB's footprint in north-central West Virginia to six locations, including Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Fairmont, White Hall and the Cheat Lake branch. The bank also serves clients in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle in Charles Town and Martinsburg. In 2012, with the acquisition of Potomac Mortgage Group, MVB Bank expanded its services to the Northern Virginia-Washington, D.C. market.

Two additional branch locations are planned for 2013.
