WV DEP to hold water quality meeting

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A public meeting on the state's water quality standards program will be held later this month in Charleston.

The state Department of Environmental Protection will conduct the meeting April 24 at DEP's headquarters.

The federal Clean Water Act requires the DEP to conduct a comprehensive review of state water quality standards every three years.

All revisions must be approved by the state Legislature before final approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
